How to listen to web pages and Obsidian note content on a mobile phone?

Origin#

  • Engaged in text work
  • Eyes get tired from looking at the phone for a long time
  • Ears don't seem to be used much

Idea#

  • Let the phone read the selected text aloud
  • Or directly read the content of the webpage

Method One (Read selected text aloud)#

  • Install [[Xunfei Voice Reading iflytek.readassistant_666c2c07-2.3.2798.apk]] on the phone (Android), which can be found online
  • Copy the required text from other applications, share it to Xunfei Voice, and click on Read Now
  • It is recommended not to click on Add to Playlist here, as it requires login, which may cause this version of the software to become invalid
  • Note: Do not upgrade [[Xunfei Voice Reading iflytek.readassistant_666c2c07-2.3.2798.apk]]

Method Two (Read selected text aloud)#

  • Download and install [[TTS-Server.apk.apk]] from Github tts-server-android on an Android phone
  • Change the pronunciation engine in the phone settings from the system's default input method to "TTS Server" and set the language to Chinese
  • After installing [[Moon Reader Pro-v9.3 Professional Edition.apk]], open a document and select any text
  • From the pop-up menu, select More, click on Settings, check Read aloud, and drag it to the front by holding the three horizontal lines behind Read aloud
  • Select the desired text again and click on Read aloud

Method Three (Read webpage content aloud)#

  • Install Edge.apk mobile version
  • Comes with webpage reading function
